Baptism
The sacrament of Baptism is generally celebrated on the fourth Sunday of the month at 12:15 pm. Those who are parents for the first time are asked to participate in the pre-baptismal workshop held on the second Wednesday of every month in the former convent. Please contact the parish office at 599-5580 to schedule your child’s baptism and to register for the pre-baptismal class.

Marriage
Arrangements to be married at St. Michael Church are made by filling out the Wedding Application Form and must be made at least one year prior to the wedding date. Weddings are normally scheduled on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. We cannot accommodate weddings after 2:00 pm on Saturdays or anytime on Sundays. Friday afternoons and evenings outside the Season of Lent are a possibility.

Who may marry at St. Michael’s?

  1. Parishioners who are formally registered may be married at St. Michael’s.
  2. Roman Catholics who live within the boundaries of St. Michael’s but who have no formal relationship with the parish should contact the parish office about registering in anticipation of celebrating a wedding in the future.
  3. Catholics who live outside the parish and/or have no formal ties to this may be married here with the permission of their own pastor.

In all situations, either the bride or groom must be a baptized Catholic.

All individuals, Catholic and Non-Catholic alike, who have been previously married in either a civil or religious ceremony must obtain a declaration of nullity from a Roman Catholic Tribunal before he/she can be married in the Roman Catholic Church. A priest will assist you in this regard.

Penance
The sacrament of Penance or Confession is scheduled for every Saturday at 4:00 pm. An appointment at another time may also be made with a priest for this sacrament.

Anointing of the Sick
The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as “Extreme Unction” is a sacrament intended for the healing of body and soul. This sacrament is beneficial for all those who are dealing with serious illness, or preparing for surgery. It is most appropriately received at the beginning of any serious illness and may repeated as often as needed or when one’s condition changes. To arrange for the sacrament, please contact the parish office or speak to a priest following Mass.
